OLED Korea Conference, the global OLED conference, will be held on 7th(Wed) to 8th(Thu) of March.
The 4th OLED Korea Conference will be held on the theme of ‘OLED with opportunity & adding value to your business’ at the Novotel Ambassador Hotel in Seoul, Korea for two days. OLED-applied products continue to expand in the smartphone market. Apple plans to launch new iPhones in application of OLED technology in late 2017, and Samsung Electronics will apply OLED to its entire smartphone production. Chinese set manufacturers are employing OLED for high-end smartphones, Samsung Display’s OLED production in China is also increasing.
스마트폰 시장에서 OLED가 적용된 제품 비중이 지속적으로 확대되고 있다. Apple은 2017년 하반기 OLED를 적용한 신규 iPhone를 출시할 예정이고, 삼성전자도 모든 스마트폰 제품에 OLED를 적용할 것으로 전망된다. 중국 set 업체들도 high-end 스마트폰에 OLED를 채용하고 있으며, 삼성디스플레이의 중국향 OLED 생산량도 증가하고 있는 추세이다.
어플라이드 머티어리얼즈( Applied Materials )가 OLED 시장 성장에 힘입어 올해 2분기 디스플레이 장비 매출이 6배 가까이 늘어날 것으로 예상된다.
최근 디지타임즈는 Applied Materials 관계자의 말을 인용해 이 회사가 2016년 2분기에 받은 디스플레이 장비 주문이 미화 약 7억달러어치에 달한다고 보도했다. 이는 전년동기의 1억2000만달러보다 5.8배 증가한 수치다.
