Professor Hwang Chang-Hoon, CEO of OLEDON, a venture business of Dankook University, proposed that the plane source FMM deposition technology is the only solution for a high-resolution OLED manufacturing process over UHD at the 1H semester UBI Research Seminar “OLED Market Analysis and Latest Technology” held on June 30 (Fri) at Yeouido FKI Conference Center.

Samsung Electronics TV Booth displayed in IFA2016 is very different from before. There are two types of LCD TVs in the market currently: the existing TV using LED BLU, and SUHD TV that uses quantum dot sheet. However, the product that was introduced and occupied a lot of booth exhibition space was the inorganic TV that uses quantum dot display, a product with unclear release date.
IFA2016에서 삼성전자는 OLED TV와 현재 개념뿐인 미래의 Inorganic TV를 비교함으로써 OLED TV는 조만간 사라질 것이라고 표현하였으나, 오히려 OLED TV가 현재의 SUHD TV 보다 우수하기 때문에 미래에 만들어질 Inorganic TV와 비교하지 않을 수 없는 급박한 상황인 것을 자인해 버렸다.

CES의 가장 중요한 업체인 삼성전자가 press conference를 할 때는 미디어들은 한 시간 이상을 줄 서서 기다리며 삼성전자 보여줄 새로운 세상을 기대한다. LG전자는 그다지 긴 줄이 아니기 때문에 대기 시간이 상대적으로 적다. 하지만 이번 CES2016 의 press conference는 모두의 기대치와 전혀 다르게 나타났다. CES와 IFA에서 가전 업체들의 얼굴 마담은 TV이다. 하지만 삼성전자의 행사에 보여진 TV는 이전과 똑 같은 SUHD로 끝나고 말았다.
