2022년 1분기 65인치 프리미엄 TV 가격 동향 분석

2022년 3월까지의 65인치 기준 삼성전자의 QLED TV와 LG전자와 Sony의 OLED TV, LG전자의 QNED TV 가격을 분석하였다.

삼성전자의 4K 하이엔드 모델인 QN90A와 4K 보급형 모델인 QN85A와 QN80A, 8K 모델인 QN800A와 QN900A, LG전자의 OLED TV A1 및 C1, G1 모델과 QNED TV QN90UP, QN99UP, Sony전자의 OLED TV XR65A80J와 XR65A90J를 조사하였다.

[CES2022] TCL의 ultra slim Mini-LED

TCL은 오랫동안 mini-LED TV를 전시하며 mini-LED TV 시대가 도래하기를 기다린 업체이다. CES2022에서는 8K와 4K mini-LED TV를 대거 출품하였다.
전시된 8K와 4K mini-LED TV에는 local dimming zone을 노출하지 않기 위해 각각 thousands와 hundreds로 표기되어 있었다.
추정되는 4K의 local dimming zone 수는 900 정도이다.

TCL은 자사의 mini-LED 장점을 강조하기 위해 별도의 코너를 마련하여 OLED와 비교한 특성표와 3.9mm의 초박형 8K mini-LED를 설치하였다.

[CES2022] 삼성전자 Neo QLED TV로 프리미엄 시장 직진

CES2022에서 삼성전자의 TV 전시 특징은 New QLED TV로 메인 공간이 구성되어 있는 점이다. 애초에는 QD-OLED TV가 같이 전시될 것으로 기대되었던 프리미엄 TV 코너에 mini-LED BLU를 사용한 New QLED TV만으로 구성되었다.
이해가 가지 않는 점은 현재의 mini-LED TV 시장의 주력 제품은 4K임에도 8K의 75인치와 85인치만으로 구성된 점이다.8K TV 시장은 아직 미숙한 상태임에도 불구하고 팔리는 4K 보다 8K TV 홍보에 집중한 것은 향후삼성전자의 TV 사업이 하드웨어 위주에서 소프트웨어로 이동하기 위함으로 읽혀진다.

[CES 2018] OLED TV exhibition from major set manufacturers

Major electronic companies such as LG Electronics, Sony, Vestel, Changhong, Skyworth presented OLED TV as main exhibition. In particular, Samsung Electronics’ “Micro LED” exhibition received a great deal of attention.  Samsung Electronics unveiled the world’s first “micro LED” technology-applied 146-inch modular TV, “The Wall.” People came to see the product and it was heated up in a hot issue. Samsung Electronics emphasized that this product is a future screen that is unlimited in image quality, size and form. Through the implementation of the local dimming 3000, “The Wall”, which was unveiled at the exhibition show is developed by brightness, contrast ratio, color reproduction and black display compared to the existing display.

2018년 1월 8일부터 미국 라스베거스 엔클레이브 컨벤션 센터(Enclave Convention Centre)에서 최대 전자쇼인 CES가 열렸다. LG Electronics와 Sony를 중심으로 Vestel, Changhong, Skyworth 등 주요 전자회사에서 OLED TV를 메인 전시품 중 하나로 내세운 가운데 Samsung Electronics의 ‘마이크로 LED” 전시에 대한 관심 또한 뜨거웠다.

[iMiD 2017] TCL, Solution process OLED와 QLED에 개발 집중

TCL의 Xiaolin Yan CTO는 29일 부산 벡스코에서 열린 iMiD 2017 기조연설에서 white OLED TV 이후의 premium TV로 solution process OLED TV와 자발광 QLED TV를 언급했다. Yan CTO는 현재 premium TV 시장을 주도하고 있는 white OLED TV는 QD LCD TV 대비 뛰어난 화질과 디자인 차별화, 고해상도 구현, 자연 친화적인 특성으로 premium TV의 모든 요구 조건을 충족하고 있다고 언급했다.

Yan CTO noted that white OLED TV, which is currently leading the premium TV market, meets all the requirements of premium TV due to its superior image quality, design differentiation, high resolution realization and nature-friendly characteristics compared to QD LCD TV.

삼성전자, 전체 디스플레이 매출의 60%를 OLED가 차지

삼성전자의 이명진 삼성전자 IR담당 전무는 4월 27일 진행된 2017년 1분기 컨퍼런스콜을 통해 “지난 1분기 총 매출액 50.5조원을 기록하였다”고 밝혔다. 또한 “삼성전자는 1분기 총 매출액 중 디스플레이 부분엔 7조 2900억 원을 매출을 기록했고 영업이익은 1조 3000억을 기록하였다”며, “삼성전자의 1분기 전체 디스플레이 매출에서 OLED 매출이 60% 이상을 차지하였다”고 말했다.

2017 Premium TV Market Structure due to the Different Prices of Premium TVs and Sony’s Joining in OLED TV Market

Some line-ups of Samsung Electronics QLED TVs including the Q7 and Q8 introduced at CES 2017 are starting to be unveiled and preordered on its official U.S website and Amazon. The products for preorder are 55, 65, and 75-inch flat TVs of Q7 line-up, and 55 and 65-inch curved TVs of Q8, the higher lineup than Q7. QN65Q7F 65-inch flat TV cost US$ 3,499.99 on Amazon, as of 16th, and QN65Q8C 65-inch curved TV was US$ 4,499.99. It was 20% more expensive than ‘SUHD TV’, the premium TV line-up launched in 2016, and it was intended to build premium TV’s own image by highlighting high price range and enhanced picture quality.

[IFA2016] 삼성전자, OLED TV와 완전 결별 선언!
